Terms of Use

BookShelf is an online network created by students to connect and exchange used books on campus.

Members must be 14years of age or older and have a valid school email id to sign up. Registered email id will be used as the primary means of communication between members.

As a member of the BookShelf community, you agree to act in good faith at all times and use BookShelf only for the purpose of exchanging books with other members on campus. BookShelf should not be used for any other solicitations or purpose.

All books for sale must have an ISBN number for it to be unambiguously identified and true condition of book must be communicated clearly in the listing. If a specified sale price is negotiable, state this flexibility in the comments section of the book listing.

Books are initially listed anonymously. Only once a Buyer clicks on the "Contact Seller" link for a given book listing, an email is sent to both Buyer and Seller at their registered emails to facilitate direct contact to exchange the book. BookShelf does not take responsibility for any financial transactions or member interactions. Members must independently verify mutual identity prior to meeting or exchanging books. All book exchanges must be done at a safe, well lighted and active public location on campus.

Member accounts with invalid, inappropriate or misleading information or suspected misuse will be deleted without notice. Please add support@bkshelf.org as a valid email to avoid spam filters.

Please contact BookShelf Support with any questions, suggestions or comments you may have.
